Hi,

Im sure you get this a lot but i am looking to buy a new GPU for my PC and dont know what to do. I have looked at several new graphics card and i had my mind set on a R9 270x but as soon as i decided what to buy i found other cards too such as the GTX 660 and Radeon 7870 and these are all in the price range that i want to spend around £150. I also have found a gtx 590 in my town for only £220 and from what i have read it is much powerfull than the ones before but there are a lot of faults with it.

I would like some help as to which is the best card to buy at the moment. I am upgrading from a Radeon 6850 and really dont know what to buy or whether the 590 is worth taking the risk!? please help and if you have a better card around the same price but better performance please let me know thanks a lot

Hey if you are considering that, the GTX 760 is a better card. Its a little bit more money but its a better card than the r9 270x. Especially the Gigabyte OC version or the MSI one,

No... don't buy old card Dude....

7870 and R9 270x are mostly the same .. but 270x is more newer with more upgrades better drivers .. mantle ... alot of good staff

Just make sure you get a good 270x that is greatly factory oced and great cooling like

Asus direct cu 270x

Sapphire Toxic 270x

Evga Superclocked 270x

I was looking at this http://www.aria.co.uk/SuperSpecials/Other+products/Gigabyte+Radeon+R9+270X+WindForce+3X+OC+2048MB+GDDR5+PCI-Express+Graphics+Card+with+BattleField+4+PC+?productId=57791

Would that be a good buy?

Maybe im being slightly pedantic here but would the GTX 760 ( gigabyte OC one) really be worth 50 pounds more compared to the other one. Especially if the R9 comes with BF4 and i have to add i also need to buy a new psu with these cards since i dont think a 500w will do... would it really be worth spending £50 more?

The GTX 760 will fare better than the r9 performance wise both stock and oc (the price is like $249 for the r9 vs. $259 for the gtx 760), but if you are getting BF4 with the R9 then that will probably be a better deal. It depends on what games you plan on playing and whether you plan on SLIing in the future.

It just depends on whether you want to pay more for the nvidia card
