Looking for a CPU heat sink and fan

Hi all,

I am currently moving my computer to a new case and a new motherboard, and so far I've only encountered one problem. The stock heat sink for my processor won't work with my new motherboard. The heat sink wants to screw into the board but the board wants to clip onto the heat sink.

So, unless I am missing an obvious solution, I need to get myself a heat sink and fan combination that will work with my processor and new motherboard. The sooner, the better.

My new motherboard is an MSI 970A-G43.
My processor is an AMD FX 6100.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. This is the first time I've gotten to dig this deep into my system and work on it this much, and this is the only problem I've seen so far. Thanks for any replies in advance!

Solution
Get the Cooler Master 212 EVO. Its the best bang for the cost. Its $20-$30 depending on the site you get it from. Just make sure its dimensions fit in your case.

Did you remove the cooler's backplate and bring it across to the new motherboard as well?
See if you can find the installation instructions for the cooler and reverse the steps to recover all the pieces.
Remember to apply fresh thermal grease when you mount the cooler again.

If you are looking for a new heatsink and fan, I highly recommend the Noctua NH-U12P SE2.

I was going to bring the backplate over, but my stock heat sink's screws are in a square formation where the new motherboard's screw hole's are more of a rectangle. The stock heat sink doesn't even come close to lining up with the screw holes on the new motherboard.
