I'm using a fan controller to lower the voltage on my Corsair SP120 fans. Is there a way to get rid of the annoying electrical buzzing noise that's caused by lowering the voltage on them?

Solution
If you can, see if you can get your hands on some other fans to test; If you can find a fan that it doesn't do that with, then it is the fans themselves. (I would have thought Corsair was overall pretty good in their quality.) If it does it with other fans as well, then there is the chance it could be the fan controller - I have heard of that as well. :\
To my knowledge, no.

Out of curiosity, does it happen to all your Corsair fans, or just one or two? I have a fan controller, and while testing it out I found that my Enermax Magma fan made a buzzing sound, but my Enermax Cluster did not. No clue why that was so.

If it is just one fan, perhaps you could exchange it? Otherwise, sounds like you may be bum out of luck.

Yes, it goes away when the voltage is maxed out (aka full tilt)
