Hi guys,
Building myself a new gaming rig and I was going to go with the FX-6300, but my local shop is out of them and won't have them for another month. So I'm wondering if a 4300 will be good enough for me? I wanted the 6300 due to the price and good reviews, though I don't do too much other than gaming, so a quad-core should be more than enough. Is this good reasoning, or should I hold out until they come back in stock?
If anyone asks, I don't want to buy online.
Thanks guys :)

It actually manages to outperform the FX-6300, even though it only has 2 cores. The number of cores actually matters very little unless you do super heavy multi-threaded stuff, and in most applications you'll see the i3-4130 has an advantage anyway. It's anywhere from $100 - $120.
