i am in the process of building myself a new computer. The one i have now isnt cutting it for what i want it to do. So i already have bought the case, its the fractal design r4.

I am getting a new dvd drive, because the one i have now still uses ribbon cables for connectors, and i was thinking of getting a card reader too. I am going to be doing some photo/video editing, and it would be nice to have a card reader, but i wasnt sure which one to get. I need it to have an sd card slot, and i would like it to have a micro sd card slot. it doesnt need usb 3.0, because theres usb 3.0 on the case, and it cant be expensive in comparison to other card readers. Id say $25 is the max i would be willing to go. Finally, it doesnt matter if its 3.5". my case doesnt have a 3.5" external bay but i have an adapter lying around somewhere that i can use. Thanks for all the help in advance

Most/all card readers for PC that fit the 5.25" bay or even 3.5" bay are not very good.

You might be better off looking for a quality USB version. My advice is THIS ONE:

Use USB3 if possible but it's backwards compatible. In most cases I doubt you'd see a difference as the card itself would be slower.

Another option is to just attach your camera to the PC directly.
