I need help with me Geforce Gtx 670 Power editon on minecraft!

so i throw it in and it runs battlefield 3 fine 50+ fps ultra settings but when i play minecraft it drop to 50-60 i have no clue whats holding it back with the preformance when minecraft takes nothing to run comppared to ballte field! my pc specs are intel quad core q8200 2.33 ghz, 8 gigs of ram, and the 670 if anyone could help me it would be awsome!

I do believe so. Sadly, I think an updated CPU would do well in your build. If you upgraded to a nice i5 you would see an amazing difference in speeds of the whole PC. Be sure to select a "Best Solution" To help people with similar problems.

Minecraft has had many updates, one of which gives you the power to put a cap on FPS, go into settings and try changing it to the highest, or as high as you want it. As you can see in this picture on this forum. Hope this helps!

Yea i'm now looking at getting a Intel core i5 I5-3570K 3.4 GHz Quad core plus i also ordered a 120 gig SSD to run games off of i expecting nice performance thanks for the help!
