Sometimes, rarely, out of no where, I get 30 important windows updates that need to be installed. This is quite suspicious, I don't know if this is a virus, but it could very well be.
Is this normal to happen? Just trying to make sure.

I haven't had this happen to me, but it may just be a bug or they may have actually released updates. To be safe make sure its prompting you through Windows update and not another program. I would also set up a scan schedule for your antivirus software to be extra safe. :D

When do the updates occur? Updates usually happen for me about once a month, I get a notification prompting me to restart the computer and a little yellow warning sign appears next to "shut down" on the start menu. I'm not sure where all of these updates come from, they usually don't seem to change anything though. If they are actually from Microsoft, I have no idea why they are still making updates for Windows 7 when they have been mass advertising Windows 8 since launch.
