I'm really just a noob at computers. My friend has the Alienware Auroa and I got kinda jealous. I later then decided to get a good gaming PC,to play minecraft on max settings, as well as playing other games like tf2 battlefield 3 and all, (Battlefield 3 & Black ops 2 Expected to be on a good frame rate on decent settings) but the problem is, people are saying to build one, but my dad says to just buy one because if you build one, you won't get a warranty. I'm sticking to a pre-built PC which fits all my needs (Also with a good graphics card, RAM, Hardrive(1TB) And Cpu). Also, I forgot to mention, I am a HUGE NOOB when it comes to Computers.

Here is a build for under your budget, depending on if you need a Monitor and OS also, then things will need to change. For editing i threw in 16gb of ram, you can always cut this down to 8gb and put in a r9 280x or a gtx 770 instead. Which I think is a good choice.

That's not true. You will get a warranty, except the warranty isn't on the whole computer itself. The warranty is on each individual component, and the length of the warranty depends on each component's manufacturer.
Also, if there are problems, it's a good learning experience as you can experience first-hand how to diagnose problems and detect what is causing it, instead of talking via live chat to a representative to help you get it fixed.
Do you need an OS or monitor?
