Trying to nvflash my bricked card and the dos wont even detect it. I only over volted this thing to 1.1 and the temps never got over 72. also this was very short term usage.
I would like to note that the drivers went into safe mode twice, but as to actual crashing of the computer: it never happened. after turning the computer off for the night, it never has booted back up since. I've tried the card in another computer and it wont boot on that one either. I was thinking my cheepo 750w psu could be the culprit but i can power my brothers 7870 no problem.

I guess my question is: is it possible to brick a card that never got hot simply through overvolting?
Is there any way i can troubleshoot this issue?

It doesn't feel bricked if that makes sense. There was no indication of failure prior to turning off the machine. Fans work, mobo gives video error code 1 long 2 short.

So it not functioning AT ALL does not feel like it's broken? Really? Cause that is pretty much the definition I use for bricked....

In any case though, why don't you try to flash it back to stock and see what happens.

I'm trying to flash with nvflash, and i'm having trouble getting it to detect the gtx 480 bios. Says there's nothing there.
I've tried different nv versions, and I've had issues with the 1 long 2 short beep in the past. So if its not properly seated, could that be the cause of not being detected? I've literally reseated this card over 50 times trying to fix it. My other 7870 seats no problem first try, and the gtx 480 'appears' to be seated correctly but no go

Be careful with voltage. Its the easiest way to fry a component

Well i kinda understand that now lol, this card never got hot though. and wasnt over volted for more than 15 minutes. Also again, no indication that overvolting even damaged the card in any way (e.g. crashing windows). Just can't get it to boot anymore
