The 740m has such pixel shader and doesnt get too hot. The 765m is about the sweet spot for price:p erformance:heat. I have the 765m 2gb in my msi laptop and runs around 81 degrees under load. This is warm, but not nearly as hot as the 90 degrees most other laptop configurations can get up to

thanx Brantyn...my other concern is power...do these cards perform on battery or need the laptop plugged in while gaming (like Ati x2300 does ... currently using )??

anything over the 765 will be pointless for using a battery. The 765 is about the best price:p erformance:p ower usage card. with mine gaming the batter runs dry in about an hour. When not gaming and using it for classes, my battery life is about 6 hours (just enough in most cases if i don't have a class where i can plug it in
