i am planning on getting the nvidia gt 640 because my pre-built pc only had intel integrated graphics... but upon inspection i could not find any slot where the graphics card went and the power supply was a 90w external power lead brick thing that then plugs straight into the motherboard... i have no idea what i am doing

am i just being an idiot or are my concerns justified?
im new to this also how would i go about putting in a proper psu that can handle the 640 (needs 350w)
