i am planning on getting the nvidia gt 640 because my pre-built pc only had intel integrated graphics... but upon inspection i could not find any slot where the graphics card went and the power supply was a 90w external power lead brick thing that then plugs straight into the motherboard... i have no idea what i am doing :p my pc is an hp 011-052ea link to picture of graphics card and the specs of my pc = http://h20565.www2.hp.com/portal/site/hpsc/template.PAGE/public/kb/docDisplay?javax.portlet.begCacheTok=com.vignette.cachetoken&javax.portlet.endCacheTok=com.vignette.cachetoken&javax.portlet.prp_ba847bafb2a2d782fcbb0710b053ce01=wsrp-navigationalState%3DdocId%253Demr_na-c03824644-1%257CdocLocale%253D%257CcalledBy%253D&javax.portlet.tpst=ba847bafb2a2d782fcbb0710b053ce01&sp4ts.oid=5359000&ac.admitted=1388054664707.876444892.492883150

am i just being an idiot or are my concerns justified?

Solution
hey... according to me ur motherboard does not have a graphics card slot...so before buying a new graphics card ensure that u change ur motherboard and buy a new psu that as u know should handle the graphics card
