Will the Intel i5 3470 work on this motherboard:
http://www.emaxxtech.com/products/view/id/22
It isn't compatible with Ivy Bridge out of the box, but If the BIOS is flashed with a new firmware it will enable compatibility. I'm also a bit confused about the Motherboard TDP and the CPU TDP, can a 65 TDP Motherboard handle a 77 TDP CPU? (500 W PSU)

Best solution

a b à CPUs
a b V Motherboard

Nope it wont .. TDP 65 means max 65w .. I will NEVER RECOMMEND you to use a 77w CPU on this mobo.. You may damage both ur CPU and your Mobo !!

Oh, okay then, should I get a 3470S instead? I just found out it's 65 TDP.
EDIT: Are there any i5 cores that have a 65 TDP?
