My old FSX disk broke and haven't used it on this pc yet so I was thinking of buying a new copy. Would it be worth it? Would it run well?

AMD Athlon ii x2 270 3.4ghz
AMD Radeon HD 5450 512mb
G. Skill 4GB DDR2 800mhz
Windows 7 32-bit

All answers will be appreciated!

FSX is more CPU intensive than GPU intensive, so you should probably be ok. I'd recommend trying it, and then if you REALLY need to upgrade your GPU, getting a relatively low-end one, like the Radeon 7770 or something.

As it is, I'd get at least an i5-3470 or i5-4570.

While you may be able to RUN Flight Sim X, you won't be getting great frames on high settings. FSX is pretty CPU-intensive so you'll need a better CPU sometime in the future. Honestly, it might be better just to get a new system for good performance.

Thanks for the answer! I can't afford a shiny, new PC atm but I'm not looking for super high fps on ultra settings! I'm just looking for a reasonable improvement on graphics over FS 2004.

Come Summer time I will have enough for at LEAST a good GPU but I have a small issue, That processor is the best that I can use in my motherboard which also supports only DDR2 Ram so if I was going to upgrade my cpu I would also need to upgrade my motherboard and then my processor and then I would have to upgrade to DDR3 ram. If I left the graphics card out, I would have enough for these parts, hopefully.
