I've asked people to rate my specification a lot before but I can't seem to get it right. I would like something that can run modern games like Battlefield 4, etc quickly if not very quickly. I'm not sure if I feel safe building it although I know about Youtube videos, so I don't mind if you suggest Pre-built PCs, Custom made ones or a list on a website like PCpartpicker.

Approximate Purchase Date: e.g.: Hopefully by the end of 2014.

Budget Range: £550-£600 if possible.

System Usage from Most to Least Important: Main usage would be for gaming, however I like to watch movies as well so I would like a Blu-Ray, DVD and CD optical drive.

Are you buying a monitor: No, I am thinking of getting this: http://www.pcworld.co.uk/gbuk/desktop-pc-monitors/monitor-projectors/pc-monitors/aoc-e2270swn-full-hd-21-5-led-monitor-21401709-pdt.html but am open to other suggestions.

Do you need to buy OS: Yes, I would prefer windows 7.

Preferred Website(s) for Parts: I don't really have any preferred ones, perhaps mainly amazon for a PC I would build but no real preferences for a pre-built/custom PC.

Location: Close to London, England.
Parts Preferences: by brand or type (e.g.: I would like to upgrade to Intel CPU)

Overclocking: Maybe

SLI or Crossfire: Maybe, If it can somehow fit within the budget.

Your Monitor Resolution: The monitor linked above is: 1920x1080.

Additional Comments: I would like the case to be quite colourful and interesting to look at, not just a black box. As well as this, I would also like an optical drive capable of running Blu-rays, DVDs and CDs. I would like most games I play to run quite quickly on medium settings, or higher. If it "needs" to be done then I would look into any specifications that fall a bit over budget.

And Most Importantly, Why Are You Upgrading: My current laptop cannot run anything very quickly or play Blu-Ray DVDs.

Thanks for all and any help I receive, I hope I'm not being too demanding. :D
