I have an HP-Pavilion VD013AA-ABU m9765uk (according to Windows!) and would like to upgrade my graphics card, which is currently the GeForce GT 220 that came with the computer. Ideally I want to play COD Ghosts and Battlefield 4, and probably have capacity for another year or two of new games before I need to upgrade again.

I'd welcome advice about what card I could get that will work with my existing motherboard etc. Not a technical expert by any means, so simple answers please! (Would GeForce GTX 660 work on this motherboard, for example?)

Thanks

Your motherboard will support virtually any gpu. As long as you have a pci-e slot, the newer cards are backwards compatible with older pci-e technology. Your board has 2 pci-e 2.0 slots and will run all of today's cards. My only caution is you need to be sure your psu is up to the task. Check the label on the psu - you will need at least 35 amps on the 12v rail to run a 660. I believe the factory psu is 300w, and that WILL NOT be enough to run a 660 or almost any other decent card. If it were me, I'd replace the psu with a 500w unit such as THIS from EVGA.
