Temperatures are high using the H100i

I recently bought a H100i which was a big step up from my Coolermaster Evo 212, and i am having some doubts in the temperatures. At idle is reaches 40-50c and at max 75c and above. After a couple of hours i keep getting a blue screen due to the overheating and the current speed is at 3.8Ghz. Any suggestions??

I watched a youtuber " Linustechtips " and he said that keeping the thermal paste that was on the block of the H100i would be good, so should i remove it and re apply it?

I will not recommend removing it, as the stock thermal paste should be enough. What CPU are you using? Haswell runs much hotter than other CPU generations eg. Sandy Bridge and Ivy Bridge because of Intel's (pardon my french) BS thermal paste. Intel used to use fluxless solder on their chips, which allowed for heat to easily be omitted from the CPU, but starting with Ivy Bridge, they used thermal paste, leading to temperatures over 20C higher than normal.

Yeah im running a Haswell CPU ( i5 4670k ), i recently checked my temps and at idle it looks to be lower then it did the other day at around 30c. So is that suitable for haswell cpu's?

Idling at 50C might be just a bit high, but it could just be thermal paste differences. The average idle with an H100i is 40-45C while the maximum is 80C. I only worry when the temperatures are above 85C, as at 90C, things start failing eg. crashes, black screens, BSoD's, etc. at 100C, the CPU may/may not shut down. So until things get above 80C, its normal.
