READ IT ALL PLEASE!...i have aN fm2 motherboard and as a cpu i have amd athlon x4 750k and as you know fm2 sockets tend to have inaccurate temp readings....i have tried all the popular cpu temp programs..(core temp, real temp, speedfan, amd overdrive) they actually wont read my temps!...right now i am using HW MONITOR and my temps in full load with 212 evo go up to 65C as HW monitor says..not more..i actually expected lower temps becuase this pc was builted 2 weeks ago and i installed 212 evo yesterday..my case has a good airflow 1 intake and 1 exhaust, i havent overclocked,i have applied thermal paste with the credit card method(thin layer) but my temps havent lowered to much from the stock cooler...(according to hw monitor..) i installed easy tune 6 which came with my mobo and it showed me 20C idle temp WHEN I HAD THE STOCK AMD COOLER...its imposible!...please someone help me i am tired from this story...right now according to hw monitor my temp while stressing the cpu with intel burn test is about 62-65C..not more..HELP ME PLEASE

It's said that the CPU won't stop working or fry out until beyond 90c, usually anything above 80c you should look out for though. That's on load BTW. And make sure to select a best answer, it will help people with any similar...

AMD processors are known for being a little hotter then most Intel CPU's, they draw more power which may be the reason. However what you are seeing, 65c on load, is totally fine. Some CPU's idle on 40c and load WAY higher than that. In other words, your CPU will not be damaged from this kind of heat. My GPU gets upto ~60c and is totally fine. My CPU only goes up to ~55 on load, but your temps are totally fine. Don't worry about it.

just gunna make a quick note here, 90C is way too hot for AMD chips. the athlon 750k should not exceed over 74C at any point; intel 3rd gen & 4th gen CPU's absolute max temps are 105C although i wouldn't allow the CPU to exceed 90C at any time.

check out this thread: http://www.overclock.net/t/1404334/amd-athlon-x2-340-370-and-athlon-x4-740-750k-760k-be-owners-club, its got some good basic information for your CPU.

Ok @OP. with the 750k/760k the only reliable thing for CPu temps is the utility that came with your motherboard, ASUS is AI suite, MSi click BIOS and GIGABYTe is easytune6. these read temps from the BIOS. i have a 760k myself and EASYTUNE6 is the only program i have found that isnt either insanely low like below my ambient or over 100 degrees
