depends on the program being used............... my rule of thumb is.............if you game at 1600 res or above........... buy a 2gig or better card........... depending.

As Swifty said it really depends a lot on what you are playing and what resolution you are playing at. I have seen games like crisis 3 and battlefield 3 and 4 go past 2 gb utilization on 1080p. Depending on what price you are paying it will probably be better to go with the 2 gb just to be safe.
