I've recently upgraded the hard drives in my PC, and since the upgrade my headset makes a crackling sound, it's not the headset because it works great on another PC. I don't think it are the drivers: I used the same harddrive to boot from with the same data as before the upgrade and it makes the crackling sound too.
My headset is a usb-headset from logitech, but it makes the same crackling sound (but much less noticeable) when I use a turtle beach dpx21 headset connected via the digital optical connection (it uses usb-power).

My system specs are:
Asus P8P67 deluxe mobo
Intel i2600k
Gigabyte gtx460
4 x 2GB Kingston HyperX 1333MHz ram
Cooler Master silent proM 700W psu
Samsung ssd 840evo 250GB
3 x Seagate BarraCuda 7200rpm 1TB
2 x WD 7200rpm 256GB

The 2 256GB WD disk were already installed (in raid 0), no problem with this system for a few years.
Now I installed the 3 1TB Seagate disks (in raid 5) and the ssd. Since the installation of those disks my headsets make those strange sounds, even when booting from the old disks (which are still completely the same).

Any help or things that I could try out to solve this problem would be much appreciated.
Thanks in advance ...

EDIT: seems like normal speakers connected with a 3.5 jack have the same problem, it's not the power being too low either I guess, because these have don't get their power from the PC.

UPDATE: Reinstalling the OS (disconnecting the old HDD's first) seems to have fixed the problem, let's hope it stays that way
