laptop ssd in desktop?

I was looking at these 2 ssd's:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=9SIA2W014K5302

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820171739

The 2nd one looks better since it has a faster read speed (write shouldn't matter since its an SSD, only putting windows 7 and battlefield 4 on it).
