How much longer do you guess my laptop to last?

According to the control panel, the first program installed was on 07/16/2010 so it will be 4 years old come July 2014 and I used to use it, when I fist got it, for just Internet browsing, videos just the very basic stuff but then I got into gaming and so switched to a PC. I now use it just for porn (I scan the HDD with an anti-virus program, malware program and defrag every day because of that). My only bief eith it is that it takes so long to boot up and load any programs which could easily be fixed my an external SSD but is it worth buying one or just buy a new laptop which a SSD inside?

My laptop is also 4 years old but is still pretty fast. It might be better just to get a new laptop if it takes a long time to boot up, or you can try this guide:

If there is no other use for the laptop .. it's a waste of money to get a new one, but if you really want to speed up your laptop you need to install the OS on the SSD. Therefore you should buy an internal SSD with enough capacity to hold all your programs plus the OS or you can get a "hybrid SSHD" , goggle it if needed.

Good luck

Can you change the internal storage drive of a laptop?

Yes, it usually requires the removal of 2 small screws on the back panel. Most likely behind the right low corner of the laptop keyboard, you can post your laptop brand and model and I'll tell you where it is.
