Hello,

I bought my computer with this graphics card in March 2012, and I've been doing quite a bit of gaming for the past few days since it is the Christmas holidays. Just yesterday, I've noticed a notable amount of lag while playing an online game (Need For Speed World). I was getting a FPS of 10-17. I tried later on and it reached 14-18 FPS. At first, I thought it was my Internet connection but I did various speed tests and it doesn't appear to to be the case. Just today, I've decided to try watching some HD movies on my computer, and it appears to lag greatly (about 5s off from the actual video). After the lag, I would see the image and it would be covered with some green (squares or lines?). From what I've noticed, anything considered as "graphics intensive" (HD material) would cause lag. Is my graphics card dying? Or what is going on?

Solution
Your temperatures are fine. It is likely a dying card:(
On the bright side you have a very powerful CPU and a fairly slow GPU. You could upgrade:)

I am using a Intel i7 3770. I used Core Temp to test the temperature:

Core 0:
Current temperature: 33 degrees Celsius
Min: 31 degrees Celsius
Max: 40 degrees Celsius

Core 1:
Current temperature: 33 degrees Celsius
Min: 32 degrees Celsius
Max: 39 degrees Celsius

Core 2:
Current temperature: 33 degrees Celsius
Min: 32 degrees Celsius
Max: 39 degrees Celsius

Core 3:
Current temperature: 33 degrees Celsius
Min: 32 degrees Celsius
Max: 43 degrees Celsius

I used GPU Temp to test the GPU temperature:

GPU temperature: 68 degrees celsius
