Hello, recently I got a new graphics card, the asus amd radeon hd 7770 [2gb gddr5 edition] to improve upon my amd 5570, but, i see little to no difference at all in the frame rate even though the graphics card is meant to be twice as good as the 5570, so am i being bottlenecked? i will list my specifications below.

SPECS :
AMD Athlon II X4 Processor @ 3ghz
8Gb of ddr3 ram @ 1333mhz

well, yes, athlon class cpu is hold of your graphic card performance..
and this athlon is lack of l3 cache..it's really hurt fps gain while gaming..

overclocking is the answer..
try to overclock your cpu to at least 3.5Ghz, you'll see fps performance boost..well, not huge, but still noticeable..

what is your motherboard..?
if your mobo support vishera class cpu, i suggest you to upgrade your processor to fx6300..
and this processor is really overclockable, 4.2-4.4Ghz is common with this one..
at that clock, you'll see massive performance boost compared your athlon cpu..

Thanks a lot for the reply bud!
The mobo is a gigabyte m68mt-s2p, hopefully that helps.
Once again thanks for the reply
