Last night, I got a GTX 770 to replace my old GTX 560ti. I asked some people here if I should install it even though I have a 550w power supply. I installed it and worked about as well as my 560 but worse. I was also seeing CPU usage skyrocket on the desktop. Running Skype and steam brings me to 60%. So I put my old GPU back in and these numbers are still here. I shouldn't have a virus because NOD32 scanned my whole system two days ago and found nothing. The only thing that is taking up processes is svchost.exe.

I am getting better FPS. About 55-60 using this card. Maybe it is because the card is working so hard during play. 99-100% CPU usage all the time in a game. I just find it weird that my CPU is running at high temps and using so much of itself whenever I am sitting at the desktop.

did you uninstall the old nvidia drivers first ? from the 560 ti
also did you update the nvidia drivers for the gtx770
