Low frames in BF4?

The most frames I get is around 30-45, sometimes lower than that. I think that my CPU is bottlenecking my GPU.
CPU: AMD Phenom ii x4 965 3.4GHz
GPU: XFX R9 270 2GB
MOBO: ASRock 970 Extreme3
RAM: 8GB DDR3
If you think it is, would an AMD FX-6300 be a good choice to upgrade to?

1600x900 and I've tried every setting (low, medium, high, and ultra) none of them get above 45 frames.

My processor was at 95-100 percent usage the whole time. My graphics card was at 40-70 percent usage the whole time.

Quite possible that your CPU is bottlenecking your GPU. Do you have an aftermarket cooler, or would it be possible to purchase one? You could probably get away with overclocking your CPU. But if you have the money to get a new CPU, that would be recommended.

Yes, I have an after market. Would the AMD FX-6300 6 core be a good upgrade?
