Amazon are taking back my SAPPHIRE HD 7970 GHz Edition 3GB GDDR5 VAPOR-X and giving me a refund, as they dont have the card in stock, will have to buy new card just wanted a bit of advise. do i get the same card or the Sapphire R9 280X X Vapor (Rebadge) also i dont know why but i save 60 quid if i buy the r9? dose anybody know why its cheaper and if its worth it. also what about crossfiring the r9's or is it more trouble than its worth? also i have been happy with my card till i had to rma it.. im not sure if i should stick with 7970 or upgrade to 280x or get a 290, thank you to anybody that comments or reads this =)

I believe the 280x is a tad bit faster than the 7970. As for pricing, not sure why it's cheaper. Most likely due to the fact that the 7900 series is more desirable for mining? Not sure. But if you could afford to upgrade to the 290, that would be ideal.
