Hello. So I finally saved enough money for an upgrade and decided to crossfire my Sapphire 7870 XT. My main question is: with what GPU should I crossfire it? I know it can be crossfired with either another 7870 xt or 7950. Up here where I live, they have almost the same price, but should I really crossfire with 7950 when all their stats are different (like gpu clock, memory, memory clock, bit rate)? What would be the side effect of this?

Side question: Can someone please tell me all the 7870 tahiti variants? All I know is Sapphire 7870 XT and Powercolor 7870 Myst.

It should be crossfired with an identically labeled card (another 7870 with the same video memory). You need the same card to crossfire. The ONLY exception right now i believe is the 7970 and the 280x being able to crossfire with each other.
as far as other varients. Msi has good ones, Asus has good ones, and galaxy seems to have good ones as well

As long as the card name and video memory are the same (2gb msi 7870 csx with 2gb asus 7870) it will work even if the clock speeds are slightly different. Both cards will default to whichever one is lower, and from there you can try to overclock back to wherever you want, but i would advise reading tutorials on overclocking before doing so

As far as being able to crossfire with a 7950, I believe this to be 100% false according to an amd crossfire chart

for aesthetic reasons go with the same gpu you already have, They had problems with the 7950, microstuttering (which is truly unbearable if you ever are unfortunate enough to experience it) Find the same gpu you have, as you will need to do some major tweaking in order to get a 7950 to work with it...upon closer inspection, they also used a very special version of the 7850 which you do not have.

using the same gpu will leave you with minimal headache, and possibly save you some money. Dual 7850's will run anything you'll ever want for at least a full year to come maxed at 1080, and you will have less problems with drivers and microstuttering than if you tried to get a 7950 to work
