Currently I have an FX-4100 at 4.3 with an HD 7770 playing at 1280x1024. My birthday is coming up and I am going to get a new monitor (most likely 1080p) and also a new GPU. Do you think that the GTX 760 (or any other GPU you can suggest for 1080p) would be fine with my FX-4100 at 4.3 or do I need to get an FX-6300 or 8320/50?

Solution
There could be a bottleneck, unsure. A 6300/8320 would be alot better, but you need to make sure your mobo can handle it (power phases). The gpu will work, just the cpu *might* hold it back a little- i could be wrong!:p. Hope it helps.

I have this exact setup at the moment almost, I own an FX 6100 and its definitely bottlenecking my evga gtx 760. Would definitely recommend buying a new CPU, possibly even the fx 6350 as the new vishera cores are excellent for the price.
