Hi,

Since I have been looking for a mobo quite a while now I will be buying one of these. I want the mobo to be able to handle games and OC my i5 4670k with good performance. I was going to buy the Hero however I have changed my mind now since I found out that it doesn't offer Wifi - which is something I need. Anyway, which one is better out of the two and what is better on each board. I will be using the motherboard with these specs:

PCPartPicker part list: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/2pENC
CPU: Intel Core i5-4670K 3.4GHz Quad-Core Processor ($219.99 @ Newegg)
CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO 82.9 CFM Sleeve Bearing CPU Cooler ($29.98 @ OutletPC)
Memory: Corsair Vengeance Pro 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory ($96.69 @ NCIX US)
Storage: Samsung 840 EVO 120GB 2.5" Solid State Disk ($88.99 @ Amazon)
Case: NZXT Phantom 410 (Black) ATX Mid Tower Case ($84.45 @ Amazon)
Power Supply: XFX 650W 80+ Bronze Certified Semi-Modular ATX Power Supply ($82.99 @ NCIX US)

Best Regards

Either/or, I'd prob go the C2, it already has all the updated goodies there, soon all that should be even available will be the C2 (and may already be, many places won't change the advertising, just slide the updated model into stock)

Thanks for both of you replies. I will most likely buy a GTX 780 or GTX 770. Can I install wifi on the Hero?

Yes, I generally go with USB for wifi, don't like antenna sticking out the back, even with good cable mgmt on the power cords, there's generally a few (PSU, monitor, speakers, even from UPS or power strip back in the area than can intefere with the Wifi signal

Hi,

Thanks again for all the replies but just before I buy the Hero I came across this, Asus Maximus Hero Vi C2:
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Maximus-VI-C2-Motherboard-Controller/dp/B00E5YV826
Is this a new version of the Asus Maximus vi Hero or is it another board because it actually costs less than the normal hero. I also cannot find any information about the board on the internet, is the C2 -> Asus Formula ? Please help me solve this riddle >.<

Regards :D

Hi again tradesman,

So the C2 version is basically better since it has fixed usb 3.0 ports ? (if so why is it cheaper :??: ) Also should I go for the C2 or the basic version :p ?
