I've had the same gaming computer for around 2 and a half years, recently some games I play lag at top settings at 1920*1080 resolution, what would be the best way to improve gameplay on my current rig or should I reduce resolution? Games like Rome 2, F1 2013, Assetto Corsa

Sorry for the wait just had to take it apart but I couldn't find a maker or anything on the actual PSU so I had to dig through my old papers and I think it's a POWERCOOL - PCAUBA. However it could be a PC450AUBA, PC550AUBA or maybe higher. Sorry if you need to know definitely which one I can find out tomorrow I reckon

Powercool is a very, very low end psu and is liable to cause you headaches. I would suggest upgrading your psu to a solid 500-600w unit from XFX, Corsair (TX), Seasonic or Antec. You might also want to check out the new EVGA line of psu's -- nice units and really good pricing.

Would any of these fit the bill or do you recommend a more expensive one?
