I always have trouble making decisions. Right now I am really torn between some headphones ( AKG Q701) a PS4 or a $1500 gaming rig. Im young and just have a dog walking job that wont last much longer :( Im also lookin for a job that will hire 15 year olds but I dont think anyone will hire me because there are older and more needing people for the job.

So I wanted to build a gaming pc so I can play with my friends, make a mc server, play minecraft above 100fps minimum and some other games that are power hungry. But its $1500! I know I can make it cheaper, then upgrade over time but if I am to get a good computer I want to get something really good right away. Then there is the PS4 with Kingdom Hearts 3 coming out for it which I am really excited about. And thats only $400 with a couple games so around $600. My mom still needs convincing to allow me to buy it. Then there are headphones for $350 I think. They are pretty descent.

I think you can see that I am really bad at making decisions from how long this post is :) So I want your input please. Can you tell me which you think I should get and why? Thanks :D

So you are going to play minecraft and minecraft servers, that is a very heavy PER CORE task mate, it uses one core, but it has to be powerfull which makes this cpu the perfect choice. H60 is a cooler perfectly fitting to this much used case... Motherboard is from asus and has awesome features like crossfire, sli, USB 3.0, Click bios and some other cool stuff. 16 gigs is much for your ram, basically allocating 4 gigs to your server is enough, you won't get much better or even any performance boost from there, 2-3 gigs for system, and everything else for apps and games :D
SSD is one from intel, like your cpu and is there to store OS things and your server. 2 1tb hdd's are there for storage and BACKUPS of your server. R9 290X is just a awesome graphics card and it fits in your budget perfectly. And there is a 600w PSU to power all up :D. If you want a headset i would suggest you a Corsair Vengance 1500 headset...

The Corsair CX line is built with some inferior capacitors that don't like heat. I'd suggest a Seasonic or XFX (all built by Seasonic) instead. High-end AMD cards are fetching a premium because all the Litecoin miners want them now. The R9-290X is way overpriced; a single GTX770 would be suitable, or get a single GTX760 now, and plan to add a second one for SLI later if it's needed (size your PSU appropriately).

I would go for the PC and a pair of audio technica ATH-M50 which are pretty decent for the price. Or the pair I'm currently using is a Panasonic RP-HTF600 which sound amazing and has plenty of bass. Plus they are easy to mod and only cost around $30. The gaming PC could be a lot less, $1000 rig should be great for gaming.

thanks all for your input :D I think im gonna get a pair of nice headphones and a ps4.
Now which headphones should I get? I want something around $300. I was thinking of a few:
- Beats over ear headphones: http://www.bestbuy.ca/en-CA/product/beats-by-dr-dre-beats-by-dr-dre-beats-studio-over-ear-headphones-black-900-00059-01/10265760.aspx?path=935622b7e141261ad1a4f6d8e88f10f3en02

- AKG Q701: http://eu.akg.com/akg-product-detail_eu/q-701.html
orr

Which of these do you think is the best? Or can you suggest any others at around $300? I want good clear bass. :D

Well I would suggest these headphone brands at that price: AKG, Audio Technica, Senheiser, Grado, and Denon.

I would go for a Senheiser Momentum.

I guess it would go to the AKG, though I haven't heard much about that particular model. The Senheiser Momentum series is a great headphone if you want a wide sound stage with refined bass. The Sony headphones are meant for extreme bass, and the beats headphones are well... lets just say my panasonics sound better then them.

Take a look at this article to help you choose one:

what do you mean by sound? how loud it is?

Not volume, but the type of sound. Some may sound bright, dark, mellow, warm, etc. If you have no idea what I'm talking about I honestly think buying a $300 pair of headphones would be a waste.

If I was on your place i would go with corsair 1500 headset, many people use it and they get positive feedback, base is okay, and the sound quality will make your jaw drop, anyway, if you need another gaming headset maybe a Astro A40 2013 edition will make a good deal :D

Yes, but they should both sound great. On ear is meant for portability while over the ear is a bit bulkier and meant for home use.

Momentums are the best out of the three.
