MSI GTX 780 Ti or Gigabyte GTX 780 Ti OC ????

Solution
The classified cards are evga top end card. Normally highest clock speeds and best all around setup. I have a gtx560ti classified and its been the best card ive ever owned. Super fast super cool and just amazing.

I look at evga but their clock are less hight than the msi and gigabytes.....
and saw a people that was sad because they cannot overclock higher then the stock oc performance....

Yes you can oc the evga cards. The classified cards are some of the highest clocked out there and evga quality is unsurpassed. The msi lightning would be only one worth getting and gigabyte I woukd only get the ghz edition with the windforce cooler on it. Evga is still the top over those but thats what I'd choose in that order.

Forget msi and gigabyte. I would go with the evga version because it got the awesome acx coolers which is the best air coolers for gpu's at the moment. I havent reached over 55 degrees celsius on my evga gtx 770 (sc)

omg this person has been so badly adivsed...the classified card from EVGA is NOT worth the extra money, i would have went with the MSI twinfrozr and saved a bunch of money, the twinfrozr cooler is top of the line and very quiet...OMG these forums!

Actually evga was rated around the web as the best 2 fan cooler. Not putting down msi or asus as those are the onlh other 2 cards I would choose but just like sapphire is to amd evga is to nvidia. I woukd rather buy from those 2 companies before I got any other brand.

they dont agree, they say :
''This card (MSI Gaming OC 780ti) had the largest fans and they spin slower, which meant that it had acceptable load temperatures and the lowest fan noise at load of the three cads. The MSI GeForce GTX 780 Ti GAMING 3GB video card was able to be overclocked up to 1313MHz on the core. This made it the highest overclocking card of the bunch

I have a GTX 780 ti with the acx cooler. Once I bought the product I was disappointed to find out that I wasn't able to over clock the card at all. So if you go with EVGA just make sure you aren't planning on overclocking the card

i got the MSI GTX780ti Twinfrozr OC Gaming series and it's stable at 1295mhz boost clock and the card is at 62c
with 60% fanspeed playing BF4 all ultra mutliplayer...tuff to beat...also cheaper than evga...that's why im saying
the OP was given VERY bad advice...he was suggested to get a ''classified'' card on top of that...total waste of money
when the cheapest MSI card is doing better job

did i missed something? EVGA as always been the cheap brand that sells bargain cards at best buys and future shop...just like Zotac or palit, since when do they became the ''saffire'' of nvidia cards? EVGA is cheap. ASUS, MSI and Gygabytes are the best cards...and Saffire for AMD. but the windforce cooler on the gigabytes is loud, those tiny fans have high pitch but they do keep the cards cool, the coolest stock air cooler of them all i fact...

I have my classified sitting at 1350mhz and it doesnt go over 70c. Evga does only nvidia cards like sapphire does amd. Evga isnt sold at any retailers around here and def not at bestbuy. Msi and asus are both great manufacturers no doubt but I choose to stick with a solid good compqny that makes great products. I dont see any other company making anything that can come close to the kingpin either. Thats because evga uses top quality components and especially when you put them under water they are very capable to oc'ing high. Nvidia locked the voltage on the new cards not any one specific manufacturer. Those are easy work arounds though because you can just upload a second custom bios and be on your merry way overclocking. Evga also has dual bios for this specific reason of overclocking. Say what ya want about them but they always win awards and are in the top 3 in the terms of manufacturers. And before you bash someone else's advice be mindful before you speak. Its rude and not needed especially when the things stated are facts that can be validated around the web and my from my personal experience. Just because you dont agree with it doesnt mean it isnt good sound advice.

i agree i might have went a bit far on my comments but recommanding a ''classified'' card that has almost a 100$ premium is not the brightess move to me...just saying that an MSI twinfrozr card performs just as well perhaps even better, runs quieter and cooler, and overclocks better for about 100$ less...and that was the card the guy was looking to purchase in the first place but evga fanboys changed his mind around and made him spend some more money that just kills me, to me it's just bad advising, plain and simple, and i'm sure many would agree with me on that...and it's not that i'm a fan of MSI, i would not recommand a 780 lightning from MSI for example, it's not worth the extra money, or the ASUS directCU II for that matter...

The classified models dont boast the same components the regular models do. There are usually better quality parts used to achieve higher overclocking. Considering these cards are MADE FOR OVERCLOCKING clearly implies their purpose. MSI ASUS and GIGABYTE all make superb cards no doubt but none are specifically designed for overclocking except the lightning model and the matrix or whatever model asus has and the ghz editions from gigabyte. They are each companies premier cards for a reason. Extra power phases or whatever it is that seperates them from their other models. Bottom line if you want top performance and you dont mind playing with overclocking to really get the cards true performance then why would you not buy a card designed for overclocking? Like i said i have had my card at 1350mhz on air and while gaming on bf4 it runs great. I just downloaded a custom bios and evbot. Now because im on air i run it daily at 1250mhz because that gets me my 120fps i want to match my 120hz monitor. Evga is not a cheap company.

exactly what im saying man i bought the twinfrozr gaming from MSI and paid 100$ less than you and my card is ALSO capable of running at 1300mhz 100% stable...check reviews if you dont beleive me or i can upload videos on youtube to prove you im right..no need for classified or lightning cards to do that with the 780's they are ALL superb overclockers...maybe for other GPU it is not the same but the 780's are pretty much all capable of that kind of overclocking...on stock voltage with normal VRM's and moffsets

But if u wanted to take it further can you? How far can you push it before it pops? How many power phases does it have? Can you have 2 different bios settings on the card incase you brick one overclocking it? Look like I said msi and asus both good cards. I got my classified for my own reasons namely being custom bios's and the superb overclocking it has not o ly on air but on water also. There have been people taking th3se things too 1500mhz on water. They are just great cards. Any of the previously mentioned 780ti's would have been great buys but I do and always will for top performers recommend evga and their elite class classified models. Period. If you dont wanna spend the extra cash then dont. Its that simple.
