Will the Intel 3rd Generation (besides 2nd Generation) work with the "H61MU3 H61MH" Motherboard?

Hello Everyone!I have a (Intel) motherboard called the "H61MU3 H61MH" and I was wondering if I was able to upgrade my CPU (LGA 1155) from a 2nd Generation Pentium CPU to a 3rd Generation i5 CPU? Will 3rd Generation CPUs work for this kind of Motherboard?

Thanks for the address. I see only 2nd Generation support, but I do see the CPU (that I wanted to get) on the CPU support tab. The CPU I'm looking into is an Intel Core i5-3350P 3.1Ghz, I'm on the newegg page and I can't tell if the CPU's a 2nd or 3rd Generation.

2nd generation 2xxx, 3rd gen 3xxx, 4th Gen (Haswell) 4xxx.. I thinks I see a pattern here. And no not normally because the chipsets don't understand newer generation, so normally you need to update the Mobo as well, but your case seems you can update the BIOS and get a few more options form the 3rd Gen thankfully.

Is this a OEM Computer (ala I went to store bought a Dell/Gateway/Acer/etc.) system?

No, I don't think it is. They're just parts from newegg and I built a desktop out of it. Might look into of how to update my bios. How does it work if the chipset doesn't understand a newer generation?
