Going from a EVGA GTX670 to a GTX 770 or a 780?

Hey all
Hope everyone had a great Christmas
Im giving my wife my EVGA GTX670 and Im going to move up.
I dont mind spending the extra cash for the 780 over the 770 if I will see the difference

What do you guys think?
I play BF4

BenQ XL2420TX Monitor 120hz-1920x1080 res
Asus P8Z77-V-Delux mobo
Intel I5-3570K oc'd with a Corsair H60 water cooler
Corsair TX750 power supply
GSkill Sniper Gaming Series DDR1600 16GB 2x8gb Ram
Samsung 840 Pro SSD for OS and Samsung 830 SSD secondary
Cooler Master HAF Full Tower Case

You'd get a bigger performance jump by adding a 2nd 670 in SLI. But if you really want to upgrade the r9-290 is about the same price as a 780 and a bit faster, just don't get one that has the reference cooler.

Thanks for the ideas, But the wife is getting my 670 and I am a EVGA guy all the way. They have always treated well when I needed warranty of tech help. I have bought 3 cards from them over the years

The answer always is get the best card you can afford at the time and then SLI down the road. Does your wife really need a 670 in her comp? Some of those r290 prices make me flinch, though Amazon has some for $508.00 (reference) and EVGA 780 SC w/ ACX cooler for $519.99. The ACX cooler model is actually cheaper then the 780 SC with the reference blower by $10.00 if you have prime.
