The amount of VRAM does not matter.

Is there a reason why you want to switch to 4GB?

4GB VRAM is for large, and usually multiple displays, you need to pair the high VRAM with a good GPU that will be able to handle a high resolution, otherwise it's pretty much wasted money if you were to say, get a 4GB 760.

You will be fine. Your mobo doesn't care how much ram is on your gpu.
