Just got my new EVGA gtx760 and it won't show up on the device manager nor will the drivers update with the evga/nvidia software. It fails everytime it goes to "checking software comparability". I have looked extensivley for fixes on the issue and have found solutions, but all of them require that it atleast shows up in the device manager... help?

Oh and the fans are also going full blast,

Make sure the PCIE power cables from the PSU are seated properly as the fans will spin from the power they get from the motherboard.

I know the 6 pin pcie power cable is clicked in but the 8pin one doesnt seem to fit properly? It falls out easily and isn't firm.

don't use the software to update. get and install the drivers yourself.

try pushing a little harder on the plug.
