Intel HD Graphics - Error 43

I have the Intel Pentium G3220 Haswell CPU with the integrated Intel HD Graphics, along with an installed Gigabyte R7 260X graphics card.

Two questions:

1. Just for my own reference, exactly what form of Intel (R) HD graphics do I have (ex. Intel HD 1000/2000/3000/4000, etc.) with my CPU?

2. I have recently built a new computer, but I noticed in the device manager that my Intel HD graphics under the display adaptors is not working; under properties, I am getting an Error 43 - "Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems."

My graphics card is working fine, so if a solution to my integrated graphics card could not be found it would obviously not be the end of the world to me. However, I am curious to why it is having problems but none of my other components/drivers are.

Also, I am currently running Windows 8.1 OS.

If someone could give me some feedback/troubleshooting, that would be awesome! Thanks

Try GPU-Z. If that doesn't work I believe the intel website can auto-detect (or Microsoft for that matter) what your hardware is. Just make sure that before you use the auto-detect feature your Intel HD graphics are enabled in device manager. I'm not sure about the G3220 series of Pentium but you might not be able to have both a PCIE GPU and the onboard graphics working at the same time.
If you are worried about the R7 failing and not being able to see anything anymore don't be. If that should happen you could simply remove the R7 and plug you monitor into the motherboard port. Windows would use default drivers to get you into/logged in and from there it would detect the "new hardware" (the Intel HD) and download appropriate drivers for it.

Download CPU-Z and that will tell you which Intel HD you have.
The Error Code 43 s a generic Device Manager code that means the device in question has encountered a problem (anything from actual hardware issue to a driver malfunction). In your case I would say the error code probably comes from the lack of drivers for the Intel graphics.

Hope this helps :)

I downloaded the program, but when I go to the graphics tab, it only recognizes my Radeon R7 260X graphics card. I just want to make sure I download the proper driver for the Intel HD graphics.
