Is 384bit video interface worth + $200 vs 256bit?

BUDGET RANGE: $200-300$ Before Or After Rebates

USAGE FROM MOST TO LEAST IMPORTANT: Playing games like Civ V, Starcraft, Sim City, Wow, The Witcher 2, Battlefield 4 ect. Running FL studio and Qubase. Running video on one display and games on another. Home theater/watching movies.

CURRENT GPU AND POWER SUPPLY:
Intel Integrated graphics 2000 and XPower 1080w psu

OTHER RELEVANT SYSTEM SPECS: CPU-Intel i5 2500 3.3Ghz 3.7 (turbo)
MoBo- Asus P8 Z68-V Pro
RAM -G Skill Ripjaws F3-1700CL9D-8GBXM 4x4Gb modules @2133Mhz
STORAGE - 100GB Cosair SSD @6gb/sec
320GB Seagate HDD @ 6gb/sec
Case- Rosewill Challenger USB 3.0 version.

256bit interface NVIDIA cards $200 relative to vram size compared to NVIDIA 384bit interface. With the Cheapest nvidia 384 bit being $500.

bit rate of the ram has little to do with overall performance of a card. an old 8800gtx card had 384 bit memory, but its slower than a 7770 with 128 bit memory. What exact cards are you talking about? read reviews and benchmarks to find a cards performance, not bitrate of memory.

while bus width does matter (it affects mem bandwidth mainly), it depends on the model also. which model are we talking about here?
also, instead of worrying about those, just look at the performance of the cards themselves. as stated above, 384 is nothing new.

Comparing cards by bus width is pointless, there are so many other factors.

Best to compare cards by game benchmarks to see the read world performance.
