my adata SSD will not register in the bios or in file explorer. what can I do?

my adata SSD will not register in the bios or in file explorer. what can I do? Its an Adata sp900 256 gb ssd. ive tried different seta ports and cords aswell as different power cables. I have an asus rampage IV Extreme Motherboard

Your motherbd has sata ports from the x79 intel chipset and the asmedia chipset. If you have the SSD on the asmedia chipset, move it to an intel sata3/sata6gb port and check again. You will need to reference your motherbds manual to tell which port is which (i beleive they are all colored red)
