Hey guys I have a bit of a problem with xpadder(I'm using the old free version). My controller is the xbox 360 wireless one and the changes I make in xpadder does not seem to reflect in-game. this is weird because my wired controller worked fine.

The changes are related to the dead-zones and diagonal zones specifically. it just does not seem to work at all. in WINDOWS on my desktop it works fine when I edit them but in an actual game the changes do not reflect. now just incase you are wondering my controller works fine- xpadder detects it and all that good stuff and my games detect it and is working fine.

can someone please help me with this?
PS. I tried asking on the steam forums and just got trolled so hopefully you guys can help me out.
Thanks

I wouldn't see a point in changing dead zones when there perfect already for those games. Mortal kombat I could see more so thou, if you want the perfect combo's.

Also You'll have to forgive me on this a bit, I thought you were having problems with the entire controller, I missed some of what you said because I was reading this on my phone xD. Most of the time people actually don't have problems with the 360 controllers its more of a unofficial Ps3/4 issue.

Its funny the reason I even have any xpadder experience was because of this actually. Vindictus the game I was playing has a bow kai and the right analog stick would not turn the camera fast enough and I needed to change the speed/deadzones(note thou the game has full controller...

If your using the Official pc wireless 360 controller then it should register on most games, but I'm assuming you don't so your using Xpadder.

Sometimes when you make changes while in game, depending on what game it is, it wont register unless you close out of the game and go back on it.

Like L4d2 for example, it requires the controller to be active before you start the game and its because the source engine. This means the game wont register the changes and requires a restart since it bound the keys on start up.

Usually this is the problem with xPadder and some games.

My advice is to just drop the entire Xpadder experience and go with the Pc version 360 controller. Its wireless and it auto-sets up on 98% of the 200 games I have on steam including non mainstream games.

Steam also lets you know what games have controller support or not.

This is the wireless controller on amazon for about 40$, it comes with the wireless receiver.

Hotwiregirl I am using an official 360 microsoft wireless controller. I tried everything. ran the program as admin, reconfigured my controller, everything. it just does not register in-game.

And like I said what I want to change the deadzones of my analog sticks and their diagonal zones. I am NOT configuring it for mouse and keyboard keys as almost all of my games works 100% with the 360 controller.

And FYI I tried using an ahem *trail* version of the latest xpadder and it still does not register any changes IN GAME.

for clarification purpouses: my controller works fine. games detect it- this is not the problem. the problem is with xpadder and it not changing my analog sticks deadzones.

thanks

I was kinda hoping you would tell me what game your trying this on, ill try to help a little more because a official 360 controller doesn't require you to use xpadder and it configures itself such as the dead zones.

You can also just torrent the xpadder full version and see if the problem fixes itself, if not then you wont have to waste 10$ on buying it.

well in a veriety of games- all of them actually. for example- dead space, ass creed, mortal kombat 9.
ah yeah and I tried the latest version of xpadder via torrents and still the deadzone changes do not register in game. with my wired 360 controller the changes register and with the wireless controller they do not.

again for the record- I am using xpadder JUST TO TRY AND CHANGE MY DEADZONES. nothing else.

But I used a wireless controller and it would not register, so I ended up using pinnacle game profiler, it has deadzone support and its much much much better then Xpadder.

As for the reason its doing this is more so probably to do with the drivers for the wireless controller. Since they both use different ones because the wireless dongle.

Oh and here is a thread on using deadzone support for pinnacle.

Let me know if this helps.

hey thanks will try it out. I did download it a while ago but it seemed liked such a mess. will give it a try again though.

Do you happen to know if pinnicle can change Diagonal sizes aswell? Basically make my analog stick a glorified D-PAD? I ask this because with Mortal Kombat the analog stick is extremely sensitive when dong movements- I find myself jumping rather than walking more often than not.
