New computer I just bought. I want to upgrade it for gaming. What do I need to make it the best as possible? I'd like to spend $300-400. I'm new to building a computer and I'm just not sure what's compatible. If anyone could help it'd be greatly appreciated.

the best thing would be to put a graphics card in, though you might need to upgrade the power supply to do that. get the evga 500w psu. and then stick a gtx 760 in there

Return it and build your own for cheaper and one that is faster

+1, it's practically a guarantee that you could return it, and then build one that is better for the same or less money.

but the problem with such a high end card is that the cpu will totally bottleneck it, heck, its even bottlenecking the 760 but not as bad as the 770 or 280x

Agreed. ^
It's almost ALWAYS better and cheaper to build everything yourself. Makes no sense to buy a pre-built PC that has a weak CPU and crappy mobo, PSU, and probably bad fans/airflow, then stick a GPU in it when you can spend less money to do a quality build.

Is it possible to return your PC and get a refund so you can build your own? It's super easy and very worth it. There are a lot of guides and youtube videos that you can follow to build a PC. I just built one for my brother for Christmas and he loves it. I can even help you if you want. And to answer your question. The R9-270 you can get fora bout 180 dollars and then use the remaining to buy a PSU if you feel so inclined.
