Is my overclocked 8320 really bottlenecking my crossfire 270x's?

I just got out of a game of BF4 on Ultra settings (No AA) and my frames were in between 40-70fps with crossfire. It was during conquest game mode, which ive heard is a lot more CPU intensive then smaller map game types. I run between 60-120 fps on team deathmatch, domination, and other small map game modes.

My CPU was running 75%-100% on all cores during the game and the GPU's were each running 40%-65% with a spike to 80% on occasion. I would turn the settings down and see minimal gain, even at medium. Can one of the best processors AMD has to offer really bottlenecking me? Do I need to switch to a 4670k?

AMD FX 8320 4.0ghz w/Corsair H55
8GB Corsair XMS3 1333mhz RAM
MSI 990FXA-GD80V2
MSI R9 270x 2G x2
128gb PNY Solid State
750w Thermaltake Smart Power Supply
Corsair Air 540 Case

Is is still performing the way it should in other game types? Is it only during conquest? I really don't think you're being bottlenecked by your CPU.

Have to agree with this, don't think that cpu would be a bottleneck for them cards.

Are you using the latest drivers?

Basically on any map where there are a lot of structures, the fps plummets to 35 at some parts. I just did rush in flood zone, dropped to 38fps when i was in the open, and 60-100fps in any other place.

Did not mean to pick the solution yet, whoops. Haha. I reinstalled the latest ones today when i installed the second GPU

Does the same thing happen with a single card?

Well these performance drops sounds very close to what you would get using a single 270x, so maybe the crossfire isn't performing the way it should be.

I'm having the same issue don't know what is going on anymore tried everything that I could. Getting like 30 to 116 fps on bf4 with ultra and 4x aa. I thought 2 r9 270x would beat the r9 290 but i guess not
