i have just bought a brand new computer, but as soon as i got it i instantly upgraded the gpu and the psu. but whenever i play a game the pc will either freeze, just randomly reset or will blue screen. its only when im playing games though, when just ideling or using the web its fine. sometimes it will play a game for a few minutes before it goes wrong or sometimes it will be a few hours, this is extremely annoying:(
pc specs:
geforce gtx 760
amd fx 6300@ 4,10 ghz
16 gb ram
alpine 850w pcu
windows 8.1

can anybody please help?
thanks in advance

I know you said its brand new, but have you reused an old crucial ssd?

I have just been through a similar problem.

Do you have the BSOD error code(s)?

Change the ram. you said instantly so that means you had not gamed with the original hardware on it.

in order of most possible cause to least:
1. RAM 2. HDD 3. Motherboard

no im not sure on how to get them, been using macs for years so not 100% on windows. and most of the time it just resets without any blue screem. but i know sometimes it says irql-not-equal-or-less, but all drivers are up to date

put your memory.dmp file on a cloud share( like skydrive and give public access to it) and I will take a look at the problem in a debugger.
the file should be in c:\windows\system32\ directory by default.
