I have a budget of 1.2k USD and i want to use the gaming rig for maybe some video editing and considering to stream too.

Can anyone help me suggest the parts of the rig and the necessary acessories to buy also for streaming (do i need to pay for fraps) (how to stream on twitch)

any help will be greatly appreciated thanks.

ps: i may be purchasing the parts this sunday 29.12.2013

For a gaming pc the most important part is the graphics card. I would recommend you go for the following:

AMD FX8350
Nvidia geforce GTX 770
Corsair CMZ8GX3M2A1600C9 (however much you can afford)
A WD 2TB hard rive
SanDisk SDSSDP-128G-G25 (if you can't afford this ssd get a cheaper one, the speed boost from an ssd is ridiculous)
any Asus motherboard that supports AM3+
zalman z11+ case
Corsair Builder Series CXM 750W
any disk drive and wireless card
optional is a heat sync but they do help with cooling (Arctic Cooling Freezer Xtreme Rev.2 CPU Cooler)

all of these are available on amazon. I'm in the UK so not sure the pricing adds up but I'm pretty sure it does. Can't help with streaming though, sorry.

The most important part USED to be the graphics card. Now it is not. Equally important is the CPU. BF4 and PS2... you need a good cpu for those games.

and for 1200$ , an 8350 is not in the picture honestly.

Hi jghaverty,
1) I have my own gaming keyboard, mouse and headset. Anymore items needed ?
2) games like League of Legends, fifa 14, and maybe some 2014 future games
3) video editing like trimming a video and put the clips together. (I don't know any software though. any recommendations?)
4) is there a website to learn more about how fraps work and how i pay the fraps fees
5) i do not need an OS

I am generally a noob in all aspects but i will research more as i am scared that i will indulge in the latest products and buy it. 29.12.2013 i will go to my local retailer and check for the parts pricelist and not buy it i guess. the holidays are still on going and the prices of the parts are fluctuating very high that limits my budget. thanks for answering to my question.

Cheers ,
Chewy :)

Thanks TheSliencedOne,
Someone has configured a build for me and i would like to invite you to take a look and tell me if there is any improvements i could make. should i take "xx" rather than "yy" because its more worth the price. definitely i don't wanna hit the 1.2k budget thus i may reduce the budget to maybe 1k or so as i have to pay for fraps too.. the build doesn't have a video card as i am thinking of either getting the r9 280x or wait for the latest r9 290x graphics card. (done a little research). Another thing is that i think amd fx 8320 is fine and why does so many people recommend the 8350 ? i have research a little once again and i found out that the 8320 is better with the performance/price ratio and the performance ratio is also sightly below the 8350. Both 8320 and the 8350 has a 3.5 GHz too.. please clear my doubts..

that build looks great. The 8350 has a higher gigahertz than the 8320. The r9 290x is better but personally I would go with nvidia. For you, they include their own recording software so you wouldn't need fraps and personally I have found the drivers work better (geforce experiance). If you get any in the 600 or 700 series of gtx than you would be able to run any of those games that you mentioned without a problem.

Thanks jghaverty,
I was thinking to oc the 8320 as it is cheaper to reach the stock speed of the 8350 because I think it's not worth to oc the 8350 and it increase by just 0.2Ghz only.

1)Nvidia has recording software?
2)Oh my what's the name?
3)Can you recommend a gtx graphics card for my build?
4)Should I buy the Ti boost or the normal gtx ?
5)Although I think I know the answer to these is yes but I will just ask for confirmation, can a gtx card work well with an amd fx cpu?
6)Should I buy a aftermarket cooler for my CPU ?

Cheers,
Chewy :)

sorry for taking long to reply. geforce does work well with amd, as far as I know there aren't many relations between cpu and gpu. I'm not sure what the software is called but it comes with geforce experience. The ti basically means it is a better version of the card with the same number. I would recommend the gtx770. Nvidia does have a recording software so long as your graphics card is in the 600 or 700 series.

2nd: Asus VS247H-P 23.6" Monitor ($149.99 @ NCIX US)
I like more the 1st.
