hello everybody,

i want to buy a new monitor for my gaming computer, but i don't live in the US and i can't order one from ebay/amazon in a normal price (very high delivery prices and taxes).

I researched and found my 2 best options in my budget that are for sale in my country are:

Dell U2312HM:
http://accessories.us.dell.com/sna/productdetail.aspx?c...
or
Samsung S23C650D:
http://www.samsung.com/uk/consumer/pc-peripherals/monit...

Both 23", 1920*1080, led.The difference is that the DELL is IPS with 8MS and the SAMSUNG is PLS with 5ms.

which of these should i buy?
please don't recommend others because they are probably not available where i live..

Go with the dell. Your eyes likely won't notice a 3ms difference. Also, IPS panels are totally worth it, trust me.

everywhere i read it said pls is better than ips..
also, i heard that the DELL montior have a little ghosting effect when it comes to fast moving objects (don't know about the SAMSUNG montior)

Can you explain why do you still think the DELL is better?

I must have missed that when reading it. PLS is just Samsung's version of IPS, even if it has advantages, it probably won't be very noticeable. With that said, the Samsung is probably the better choice, since they both use IPS technology. You might notice a little ghosting on either of them, but that is expected with an IPS panel as they generally have worse response time and input time than a standard TN panel.
