New system don't post and can't get into bios on Asus p8z68-v/gen3 MB

The new built is on a Asus p8z68-v/gen3 motherboard with I5-3330 cpu, 2x4gb of crucial ddr3 1333 memory-ct2kit51264ba1339 ram, thermaltake smart sp-630p-630 watt PS. I removed the sapphire hd 7770 video card and the g.skill 2x4gb-f3-12800cl9d-8gbrl ram I had installed. The G.skill made the computer turn off and on every 3 seconds. The memok led is on all the time. I press the memok for 3 seconds and it lets the system with the 1333 ram run okay. Everything else in case seems okay. The second time I hooked up monitor to on board video, but it still don't turn on monitor. I know the old bios is from sept 2011.I sold the older cpu that would run on old bios. I got a I5-3330 to replace it. I know it needs the newer bios. Maybe my old bios don't see newer cpu? i checked both ram sets they are made for this board. All parts in computer are brand new. The cpu I sold was new also. I hope I don't have to buy a older cpu so the older bios will see it? Plus no bios beeps at all.

That is a Ivy Bridge CPU.

The Z68 chipset motherboard will likely need to be on a later bios than it ships in order for it to support the CPU you are using.

The Bios you are on is dated nearly a year before your processor was released.

You will sadly need to borrow or buy a older cpu to boot the board in order to update the bios to support the new CPU.

Thanks for quick answer. I was thinking the same thing. I found I3-2100, i5-2400, i5-2400s, i5-2500, i7-2600 for replacing my cpu last night. I would have to spend anywhere from 115.99 to 273.00 dollars. I don't want to buy a used cpu. I guess time to go cpu hunting.

Thanks for the info,but I just picked a I5-2500 for 209.99. I use to have one and I sold it for 205 about 6 months ago.
