So, I'm going to try to make this long story short. I basically installed the HD7750 into the PCI Express slot on my pc only to try to boot and not have any video. I also tried to boot via VGA on the On Board card to see if I could go install drivers or something. I get no video at all and it seems like the PC just Hangs on start. There is nothing but a black screen though.

You can see all of the fans spin up even the GPU fan.

So after messing with that, the only way that I can boot into the bios is by pulling the card back out. Yes i've made sure it was properly seated without an issue and I know that the Video card works because I've installed it in another, way older, PC that I have and I had video right away.

On my P6-2143w Pavilion PC it has the most basic BIOS I have ever seen. There is only one option that I know of that has anything to do with the Video adapter. I have already went in and disabled the video adapter in safe mode since there was no other option, yet I still have no video.

So, no matter what I do I cannot get video to come from the video card vs the onboard. it won't boot at all if I have it plugged in. Here is a link to my pc and a link to what my bios looks like. Keep in mind, there is no bios update available for my pc and my bios didnt come with windows 8 do it does not have the secure boot configuration option.

This is the option that I changed in my bios to make it look for another graphics controller to no avail.

PCI VGA Palette Snooping
Sets the VGA palette snooping bit in PCI configuration space. Needed only when more than one graphics controller is installed.

Thanks in advance you guys!!!

this thing racked my brain all night last night!!

Solution
I guess that the issue was I had to go into safe mode and use this tool the DDU (display driver uninstaller) to remove any old drivers installed for the APU. Also, in the bios I could not have it set to dual graphics, it had to be "AUTO". This was the only option other than dual. Now it seems to be working fine.

The Solutions:
Motherboard PCIe slot was bad. replaced with A55M-P33 and still had an issue but was because of the drivers being installed for the APU.

One possibility is the power supply in that HP. It's only a 300w unit and although the 7750 isn't a particularly power hungry card I think it still draws 100w. If the machine is slightly older the power output of that PSU may have degraded over time and it might not have power to run the system. It's one possibility anyway.

Well, heres the deal with that though. I installed it on another Really old crappy desktop that I have (sr2170NX) it only has a 300W also. I don't understand how it could be that big of a deal? I don't have any USB's plugged in robbing power, I could unplug one of my hard drives or something to see if it frees up some power? I just don't know...

Okay. Got a new Motherboard in. It worked!! it was a mobo problem.

Just yesterday I got a new heatsink in (the old one would not mount to the new MB) well i went to install it today and I thought everything went well put it all back together and now I do not have any power. Only a flashing LED when I hit the power button and the fans spin for about 1/2 a second.

this is a brand new PSU and it was working before I went to change this out. I shut the computer down properly and was working on it in the kitchen (on tile not carpet) and handled the case so I don't think its static. Although I may have gotten some thermal grease on the pins (which I cleaned very well) of the cpu.

anyways, i have no bios, no boot, i've cleared the CMOS, i've removed the GPU and tried onboard and GPU video. Nothing.

CPU: AMD A6 3650 APU (i think this is the correct number) quad core 2.6
MOBO: MSI A55M-P33
PSU: EVGA 600W

This thing was working fine when I had the old heatsink on there (just being held by thermal paste and gravity, its my htpc i keep it on its side) with the fan.

I'm going to be troubleshooting tonight. Thanks for being so helpful guys.
