Hey

I got a new CPU and MOBO in christmas gift.

Intel i7 4770k and ASUS MAXIMUS VI GENE (c2)

And reformatted Windows 7 64bit and install the drivers that come along with the motherboard Windows start to spike like it's freeze and after a minute or two I can use it again. And then it happens again. I have tried to download the driver from the website aswell same issue.

And it's all happen when I install the chipset driver?

I use my RAM, SSD, and PSU from the old computer.

Any Help.

Best Regards

Since this is new build, boot from the Win 7 CD again. Choose reformat hard drive. Reload Win 7 from scratch. Be sure your system is connected to the Internet....

Do NOT install ANY drivers off the CD that came with the motherboard. You do not need them as this is a very modern board and Win 7 will have the best ones on the the Win 7 CD, or, it'll find them for you off the internet.....

I've built like 20 systems for folks, NEVER needed any drivers off the motherboard CD.....
