Hi all,

I have been keeping an eye out for a good price drop on 660 tis (which hasn't seemed to happen yet, at least in Canada). I have some questions for you all before I decide to go ahead and purchase a second one.

1) Is it even worth SLIing 2 GTX 660 tis? Is this a card that sees a good performance increase with 2 cards over just 1?

2) I own a Galaxy 3GB version of the 66 ti. Will I have to buy another 3GB card, or can I SLI a 2GB to the 3GB I own?

3) Does the brand matter for SLI?

4 Are there any other factors to look for when looking to SLI (GFX card related)?

Thank you very much in advanced!

1) Deciding if its "worth it" or not is very subjective. SLI does not scale as well as you might think. In other words, adding a 2nd GTX 660 won't double your performance. It will increase your performance in games that support SLI. If a game doesn't support SLI then it will only use 1 GPU no matter how many you have plugged in.
2) You don't have to buy another 3GB version of your graphics card to run them in SLI. But, and yes there is a but, if you pair your current card with a 2 GB version, then you will only have 2GB available to both cards.
3) The brand doesn't matter. It only has to be a card in the same family.
4) SLI will give you a boost in performance with games that support it, but it also generates more heat and requires more power. You have to weight the pluses and minuses to decide if its right for you.
