Hi guys,
Just put together my new computer, and have installed windows and all the drivers, including my graphics, yet I'm getting quite poor image quality on my desktop? I have just installed off of the disc, so would this be causing the issue? I am using a Gigabyte R9 270 with an AMD FX8350.

Everything just seems to be quite pixely, not what I expected from the card. I am using a DVI-D connection, which I have not used before, rather than a VGA cable. my resolution is 1920x1080.

Does anyone have any idea why this might be happening?

The monitor I am using is a BenQ RL2450H

Thanks

I guess it's your DVI-D cable that's making problems. Try changing to VGA/HDMI and see what happens..

lets start at the begining ..when you first booted to windows desktop on the defualt windows driver, how did it look then? or did this happen after you installed the amd driver?

I installed windows in a different resolution to my native one. The picture looked ok, I thought I just needed to install drivers and it would look a lot better. Then the resolution changed when windows booted fully for the first time to the native 1920x1080, I installed my graphics drivers, motherboard drivers ect, still thinking that the picture would fix itself. After all that it still looked very iffy. So to answer the question, the picture hasn't changed, it has been consistently poor.

go and down load the driver from amd and save it in a folder on the desktop and remove the driver disk one and install the downloaded one.. sometimes the driver disk drivers have issues and most folks dont use them.
